This is my most recent shoot, published in the Irish Examiner Weekend Magazine. Shot on location at Electric Garden & Theatre in Galway. This shoot was all about Eco & Green Fashion, Ethical trade and fun fashion. Never before has it been as easy to be ethically conscious when shopping! Brands such as Edun, People Tree, Studio Jux and Ada Zaniton are powerful trendsetters in fashion, making it viable for consumers to buy pieces that are beautifully designed as well as been ethically and sustainably produced. Now more than ever it is possible to be both fashionable and conscious about the world around us. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to add them below!
What I loved also about this shoot was that our MUA, Flora had sourced all Ethical Hair & Makeup products. Unlike the US, Europe & UK, eco certified, natural, vegan cosmetics in Ireland aren’t widely available. Though cosmetics found in Ireland do stock some vegan products, they also are made with non natural ingredients. All cosmetics used in this shoot are vegan, contains no parbens, paraffins, petrolatum, silcones, or palm oil.
You can now follow my blog by email. Just pop your email address into the box on the side bar on the right and when I post a new blogpost, blogger will send you a little mail to let you know.

I thought I’d share these shots from a recent shoot with the fantastic new face Aoife at Catwalk Modeling Agency. We had tried to get together for some time but between one thing and another it kept being postponed. So it was brilliant  to actually set the date and meet Aoife, a fantastic face and great model – watch this space!!

I have some film from this shoot also that I must develop. Im starting to book shoots now into January and February so if you have been thinking of getting photos done, pop me an email..

At the workshop I attended in the summer at which I shot Raphaella, I also had the chance to shoot with Ivory Flame. I had seen hundreds of images of Holly on the internet over the last few years so was excited to meet and work with her. Holly is a fulltime professional model from the UK with natural flame red hair and beautiful pale skin. She travels all over the world for photoshoots, acting as her own manager. Shes a soft spoken, gentle soul who knows her body inside out and works hard for her photographer. Knowing how to move, shape and bend her body, Holly is somewhat of an actor in front of the camera. Another modern Muse, she has shot with some of the most amazing people and has an amazing portfolio to show for it. Hope you like..

“All of us need to be in touch with a mysterious, tantalizing source of inspiration that teases our sense of wonder and goads us on to life’s next adventure.” ― Rob Brezsny

During the summer I had an opportunity to shoot Raphaella at a workshop hosted by photography power couple; Ciaran & Lorraine. We shot early on Saturday morning in the South Studios in Dublin. Built in the middle of the 19th century, the South Studio building was originally home to the City of Dublin Brewing Company. The original features, such as the huge period windows, stone walls and worn wooden floors give the space a certain character and energy.

Raphaella is unlike alot of models I have met, as a trained dancer, her energy and movement are applaudable. She has a insatiable appetite for her work. For certain shoots, structure & posing are essential, but I have always had a fondness for models who can free-pose, dance, move and captivate their audience. I think this probably works for me as a prime lens user,  I like to be on my feet, always moving, close to the model & interacting close with them. Within minutes of seeing her pose, move and dance, I felt the overwhelming feeling of wanting to capture her. She lets go and moves like no-ones watching, she strives to portray emotion and gives it all to you. Raphaella is a modern Muse & I hope you like the shots.
